Who ya gonna call?

With #2 on the way in less than 7 weeks, we started cleaning out the guest bedroom. Lots of old tapes (mostly mix tapes) are headed for the garbage. Found this gem of a tape. It's a good thing our Lexus has a tape player. :)

A little shopping at Trader Joe's

I love Trader Joe's! Finally I get my own cart. Now if they would just open up some more lanes!

Remotes = cool

There's definitely a unique challenge and skill in taking self timed photos without a tripod. Usually this involves propping the camera up on something to ensure you have the right angle and taking several test shots. Well in order to help ease the process, I bought a remote from buydig.com for our Nikon. Now I won't have to run across the room and get in position only to run back, see if the photo was good, and then repeat again if it wasn't.

I also bought a UV filter for our zoom lens in order to help protect it from any damage that a 2yr might inflict on it. I picked up a Hoya 72mm UV (Ultra Violet) Multi Coated Glass Filter from Adorama.com.

I'm 21 months old now!

Yes that's right, I'm wearing my PJs. All top models have this in their portfolio.

Chihuly Glass in the Desert

Target sponsored a free weekend at the Desert Botanical Gardens which was featuring a Chihuly exhibit: The Nature of Glass. You had to get reservations even though it was free so that they wouldn't be too crowded. Luckily we got ours before they sold out. We had been to the gardens before but the glass definitely adds a unique twist on the landscape.

Can I borrow the keys?

We are in trouble! She managed to get the car keys even without being able to see in the drawer.

Diaper duty

This isn't so bad. You guys make it seem like this is the worst thing in the world. It doesn't even smell!

Simple pleasures

Chocolate banana crepes

Nothing like some fruit in the morning to start the day. Made this everyday food recipe for breakfast a few weeks ago. I guess this could have been for dessert too. :)

Car thief

I just discovered today that the Honda which is park in our driveway was broken into. I didn't even notice until I sat in the car. You can see in this picture where they broke part of the frame and then pried the window ajar so they could unlock the door.


Nothing was really taken except they took the CD changer remote and display. You can see the wire to the display which they had to cut. I think they were looking to take the CD changer too since they emptied the glove box but the changer was actually under the front seat. This will be the last time the car is parked without the alarm turned on.

I'm 20 months old now!

I'm 19 months old now!

I can now say puhleeze, show my sleepy and smiley face, and call the cats by name although they still run from me. Oh and this month I had pony tails for the first time.

Lazy Cats

Normally we never see scorpions in the house because our cats usually take care of any intruders but either they are getting too old or are just lazy. After taking this picture, I had to take matters into my own hands.
