Finally the granite is installed. Luckily they didn't break any of the slabs because we didn't have any spares. 
We are still missing most of our appliances as well as plumbing. Hopefully those will roll in next week.
In case you were wondering how they cut your sink holes. It helps to have the right drill bit.
Since the overhang is more than 12", they recommend extra support. Originally these bars should have been routed into the subdeck, but for some reason no bars were present in the subdeck or the granite. So our kitchen contractor found these after a quick trip to home depot. It's not the most attractive but only little kids will be able to see them. Hopefully no one's knees hit them either.
Here's a shot of them attaching the granite to the subdeck. The white spots are just latex caulk and if you look closely there are these plastic spaces to make the surface level. Overall most of our granite is only touching the subdeck in a few places.
